Welcome to AntiCancerMom.com!

anticancermom_launch

I can’t believe it, but it’s finally time to introduce you all to my new blog, AntiCancerMom.com!

You can still expect everything you have loved and found helpful from Green Drink Diaries, just under a new name! Same me, different name. 🙂

Also, if you already subscribed to Green Drink Diaries, no worries. You will continue to receive email updates. If you’re new here you can subscribe using the Subscribe box to the right.

Most of my social media pages will change in the next few weeks, so stay tuned for updates on my Facebook and Twitter pages. I have also added an Instagram account and YouTube Channel so go ahead and follow me there! My Pinterest page has also been updated.

Wondering why the new name?

Over the past 5 1/2 years of blogging at GreenDrinkDiaries.com I’ve realized that even though I write about natural health in general, I am MOST passionate about natural healing and prevention from cancer. It’s also THE REASON why I started to blog in the first place. With the exception of a post here and there about home birth or gardening, etc, I almost always stick to the topic I love and feel called to most: helping make this anti-cancer lifestyle a bit easier for others!

Unfortunately, the name “Green Drink Diaries” doesn’t quite say that about my blog or my message, so late last year I started pondering the possibility of blogging under a more specific name related to natural cancer diet and lifestyle…

GreenDrink Whaaaat?

Another problem with GreenDrinkDiaries.com was that I get comments every now and then about how people can’t remember the name of my blog. “GreenMamaDiaries?” “DrinkGreenDairy?” “GreenDiaries?” I’ve heard all of these and much more.

So I had several ideas for a new name, but AntiCancerMom.com won. I initially had concerns that it was a bit negative in nature, but I liked how confident it sounded. I also liked how “Mom” softened the very clear stance on being “AntiCancer.” “Mom” is also important because my desire to be a mom one day was a main reason WHY I chose nontoxic cancer treatment in the first place. The infertility from the chemo I would have been treated with would have had a strong possibility of causing infertility.

I also want to give a shout out to my hubby who redesigned the header you see at the top of the page and my new logo. We brainstormed for an entire day about what we wanted the new colors, graphics and fonts to emanate. I knew that I wanted the site to be warm and hope-filled. The sunflower represented all of this and was my precious Aunt Toni’s favorite flower. You can read a bit more about her beautiful life and why her cancer story played such an important part in my own.

So there you have it. I hope you all love the new site and design as much as I do. Please share it with your family, friends, and anyone who you feel may find this site helpful.

  1. Heard of your website from Chris Beats Cancer. I was watching one of his YouTube videos and he mentioned you and how HE was the one who gave you the idea for the new name! 😀 Anyway, as a Mom of 4, I can appreciate an anticancer Mom. 🙂 Now, I am going to check the website. PS How do you approach parents who have kids who had cancer and recently finished chemotherapy or other toxic treatments? I asked the Mom if her child was back to eating his “normal” diet and she told me “Yes. The doctor said don’t change anything.” I have no clue what he eats but after that I just couldn’t bring myself to tell her about a plant based diet. How do you handle situations like this?

    • Hey Tereza! I had no idea Chris mentioned that in one of his videos…! I actually was deciding between HolisticCancerMom.com, NaturalCancerMom.com and AntiCancerMom.com….he was very adamant it had to be ACM. 🙂 As far as parents with kids with cancer….it’s super sensitive and fragile ground. I would never EVER want to be in their shoes. I would probably make a meal for them and bring them the recipe card as a “suggestion” for options in healthier eating. Maybe also share some recipes for kid-friendly smoothies and juices and mention that there have been studies of people who reduce their side effects from chemo and radiation treatment by eating more fiber in their diet. 🙂

  2. Cortney,

I had a Bilateral Subcutaneous Mastectomy in 1986, and have gone the Alternative Medicine ever since which will be 30 years next year! I am here today because of my choice to walk away from conventional medicine…drugs, surgeries, etc. and switch to Alternative Medicine! I did not want my kids to be without a mom at 10 and 11 years old.

My husband, however, has an “uphill battle” fighting his cancer, but is responding to Alternative Medicine treatments!

Would love to connect with other people who have cancer or have loved ones with cancer and are going the Alternative Medicine route! We do not do chemo, radiation, drugs, surgeries for cancer etc…. just Alternative Medicine treatments!

    My private e-mail is azcelene@gmail.com

Hope to hear from you soon!

    Hugs!

    Vicki

  3. what would you recommend for someone who is dealing with cancer now? where to go on your site. like I see the 14 day cleanse, I’m just not sure where to start. I see you have a during cancer green smoothie and a post cancer green smoothie. I need a plan but not sure where you would recommend starting.

  4. Hi there! Do you know if I should take my pancreatic enzymes with the budwig mixture? And how do you feel about incorporating black seed oil into your diet for anti-cancer benefits (taken at different times of the day from the budwig of course!)? Thanks so much!

  5. So glad to have found your blog! Looks like it’s going to be a great continuation of your previous blog. Looking forward to following along.

  6. I just shared! My daughter’s sister in law, Jada Burns used to live by you in GA. I have followed you for a long time! Love your old blog and I’m sure I will love the new one! I agree with the NEW NAME!

    • Hi Rhonda! We love Jada and Bill! That’s so great to hear you’ve been reading it for that long. We lived next to them when we were going through my cancer healing season. 🙂 Glad you like the new name!

  7. Love the new look and name! Looking forward to following your “new” blog. You are such an inspiration to me!

  8. Congratulations on your new blog and direction!
I have been a huge supporter of Ty’s educational efforts, as I know from personal knowledge what he’s offering to be true.
As a student of holistic health for more than 40 years, I want to suggest, vigorously, that you not overlook the wisdom contained in The Gerson Therapy! Charlotte Gerson, who is in her 80s now, took up her Father’s work, Dr. Max Gerson, in the 50’s, after his death (from a second (!) arsenic poisoning!). Reading and listening to Max’s and Charlotte’s peer~reviewed, evidence~based work (her Father was CURING terminal cancers in the 1920’s!!), imho, is a “must” for anyone hoping to live a long and healthy life, or help others dealing with chronic diseases including cancers.
Full disclosure: I have no business or any other connection whatsoever with this remarkable work, I just think it deserves everyone’s close scrutiny 🙂
(I am not attached to whether you post my comment on this page or not … just felt called to write.
    Best regards

    • Hi EC- I absolutely agree. I have several friends and know many of my blog’s readers who are healing or have healed their cancer using Gerson Therapy! I’d say the main reason I don’t speak of it much as that I’m not an expert in it. I know the basics for sure, but I tend to focus on what I do best. 🙂

  9. Way to go , Cortney! I love the new name and it makes it easy for anyone if they are searching. The new logo gives a positive, happy hopeful feeling! 👍
