Cancer Fighting Meal Plan of Anti-Cancer Recipes (3 Days Worth!)

Lovely Veggies

This 3-day cancer fighting meal plan is what I used to help my body heal from cancer 10 years ago. It is loaded with anti-cancer fighting recipes and I think you’ll find it so helpful!

Just the other night a friend here in Atlanta who is healing from her breast cancer naturally texted me to ask if she could talk with me “real quick.” I had a brief moment between diaper changes and cleaning green smoothie off of my kitchen blinds, so I snuck off to the garage to sit on my rebounder and call her. (I should have been bouncing but I had no idea how serious the call might be…)

My All Time FAVORITE Alternative/Holistic Cancer Resource- and it’s FREE! (but you need to sign up now!)

Seven years ago, when my husband and I began our research to heal my body naturally from cancer, we had to scour the internet for information on all of the different supplements, detox protocols, and dietary changes I would need to implement. Combined, we read over a dozen books, referenced countless others, poured over scores of medical studies and research articles, met survivors, attended a 12 day full service detox and living foods program, prayed incessantly, and more! – all to learn what we needed to know in order to confidently and intelligently stand up to our doctors, families, and friends for what we believed would be my ideal, God-given way to heal.

If only we would have had THIS…

Alternatives to Insurance: Comparing Samaritan Ministries, Medi-Share, and Christian Healthcare Ministries

sministpicMedi-ShareCHMpic

For more information comparing Christian healthcare share ministries work and WHY they are better than traditional insurance, make sure to see yesterday’s post. I think that all three of the major Christian healthcare share ministries each have different strengths that will satisfy the needs of their individual members which is what I’m going to attempt to make simpler for you today.

The Ultimate Cancer Fighting Kitchen: Immersion Blender and Budwig “Chocolate Pudding”

The Cuisinart SmartStick Immersion Blender $30

(This post is part of the ongoing “Ultimate Cancer Fighting Kitchen” series.)

The Budwig Protocol or “Cottage Cheese/ Flaxseed Oil” is just as, if not more important than my other cancer fighting staple, the green veggie smoothie. The research of German biophysicist, Dr. Johanna Budwig is highly respected and has stood up to skeptics through over 60 years of medical progress. It’s so unfortunate that this one simple combination of food can make such a difference in fighting cancer and yet is so ignored by mainstream medicine.

The Budwig mixture is effective on its own for a more holistic approach, but it can also be combined with a chemotherapy or radiation regimen with no known interference and shows evidence of increasing effectiveness in chemotherapy treatment.

Until recently, my challenge with Budwig sat with its “unique” taste, but I am now SO HAPPY to share my latest discovery in making the Budwig protocol, could I say- DELICIOUS?

The Ultimate Cancer Fighting Kitchen: Vitamix

Vitamix TurboBlend VS: $289 – $449

(This post is the first in the ongoing “Ultimate Cancer Fighting Kitchen” series.)

The Vitamix TurboBlend (or 5200) was actually one of the only “cancer fighting” appliances I received BEFORE I was diagnosed with cancer. Costing around $450, I almost forced my husband, Kevin to return it when he gave it to me for my 26th birthday, two months before my cancer diagnosis. I couldn’t believe the price tag! For a BLENDER!!!?? I figured out that the Vitamix cannot be classified as “just a blender,” and it is well worth it’s price tag. It’s an angelic appliance with NASA-quality engineering from the heavens!

Be sure to keep up with this series (and read the rest of this post) for great deals on creating your own cancer fighting kitchen!

My Tour & Review of Hippocrates Health Institute

It didn’t take me long into my tour of the Hippocrates Health Institute in West Palm Beach, FL to say out loud to my husband, “UGH! I wish we would have known about this place when I was diagnosed!”

I was born and grew up just down the street from Hippocrates but didn’t learn of it until months after my cancer diagnosis in 2008. I am tossing it up to one of those “I guess it just wasn’t meant to be” kind of things, but if you are looking for a place to retreat to after a cancer diagnosis, this would definitely be a peaceful and helpful place to consider.

Green Drink Commitments- April/ May

Life has been so EXCITING lately that I haven’t even thought about writing a commitment reflection. If you haven’t done so already, check out the movie my 4th grade class made on CommonSenseKids.org. The idea started when I learned how Apple was partnering with textbook companies to create digital textbooks for the iPad. My 4th graders and I decided to gather our facts and write persuasive papers on WHY this technology is the inevitable replacement of the paper textbook!

We took it a little further and combined the kids’ ideas to make a short presentation for the principal and their parents. It was our principal who loved it and suggested I film it and send it to Apple. My husband and I worked together to write a grant to produce a movie that would be worthy of Apple’s attention. We won the grant and over 5 days filmed the movie in my classroom. We also started the website, CommonSenseKids.org to house our video and hopefully host more “Common Sense” projects in the future. My class and I are now anxiously awaiting a response from Apple and the various textbook companies they are partnering with.
